Chapter 63

Ash's POV

She smiled at me when she noticed I was in the room. I took a look at the table where I had placed the food and saw that she had eaten from it. It wasn't much but she had attempted. Perhaps the intervention by her friends wasn't worthless after all. 

"Riley?" I called out cautiously.

"Yes, I just need to take a bath. I'll be right back." She told me as she moved to the bathroom.

I had no idea what to do. It was strange. I thought perhaps she had seen the picture circulating the internet but perhaps not? I don't know. I was just glad that she was showing signs of life. That she was making attempts or she was getting back to normal.

I waited until she was out of the bathroom and just like that, we fell into normal conversation. We talked, we laughed and it wasn't until now that I realised how much I missed her. I mean I missed her, sure but I had no idea it was this much.
