Ash's POV

"Are you okay?" Jane asked me.

I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes. "Yeah, what's up?"

"You don't have to pretend to me. I know you are not okay." She told me.

I chuckled. Jane is becoming more like a younger sister to me rather than the annoying little brat I had known. She was no longer annoying to me. In simple terms, she had grown on me.

I got up from my position and moved towards the kitchen to get a glass of water and she followed behind me. I gulped the water and then turned to her as she took a seat on the stool next to the island. She looked so deep in thought which made me ask her if something was wrong and the looks he gave me made me pause.

It was filled with hurt. She was looking, unlike the girl I had seen the past few days.

"Do you think I should go?" She asked me.

I paused. Why would she think that? I'm pretty sure I had given her no reason to think that except….oh. I think I know the reason why she was ask
