Chapter 12. A Drive with You, A Dream Come True

They entered the car, and Mark turned on the ignition of the car. The car coughed a bit before stopping.

“Shit! What’s the fuck is this?” Mark muttered in annoyance at what was happening. He started the car again, and the same thing happened; he hit the wheel in frustration and groaned loudly.

“What happened?”

“The stupid truck won’t start,” he complained, trying it again and again.

“For someone who treats his truck like a child, you sure are violently hitting it.”

“It shouldn’t have broken down here. Can you stay here? I’ll just go check what’s up with it and get back to you real quick.”

“Alright, take your time and try not to take out your frustrations on the truck.”

He nodded and got out of the car, praying that the car would not break down completely. He opened the bonnet and made a few tweaks. He went to the passenger window and knocked.
