Chapter 25. Victory Must Be Ours
Mark watched the scene before him in horror and disbelief; not only was his house in great disarray, but there was a lot of blood on the ground, and the entire furniture was completely destroyed. He stared unmoving for about a second or two, like he could not believe what he was seeing at the moment.
It looked like there had been a miniature case of World War II in his living room. He heard a groan coming from a corner of the room and walked towards it, sniffing the air as he did so. He doubled over in shock when he saw his father lying on the floor, completely battered and bruised.
“Dad?! Oh my God, Dad, what happened to you?” he asked in panic, rushing over to check his pulse.
