It had been an amazing day. Gen had been chattering about it to the staff the entire evening. She was not over the excitement she had felt earlier that day. Now curled up in bed without her husband… again, she mentally went over her day.

Madrid was indeed a beautiful city. It was simply breathtaking. The energy was overwhelming but at the same time exciting. For a person who came from a bustling city, Gen had found Madrid terribly breathtaking. It was different from New York. It was more… real.

The people seemed more real. She had been at Plaza Mayor, and God, had she loved it. She had been a bit overwhelmed at first, especially since it had been ages since she had been to an open market like that.

In NYC, she mostly did grocery stores, malls, and online shopping, but here in Madrid, she had to move in the crowd, haggle prices, and relate with people. Thank goodness her Spanish was good.
