Chapter 37. Distress Call
Alex packed hastily in the building of his company and dropped down of the car, almost forgetting to lock the door.
He rushed into the building. He had gotten a distress call from his manager twenty minutes ago.
“Can you come to the office as soon as you can sir?” his manager had said, his voice sounding very low. “Something’s happened.”
“What happened James?” Alex had asked but James insisted he should come and see for himself.
“I am so sorry sir, I cannot tell you over the phone. I would rather you come to the company and see for yourself,” James said.
“Goddammit! What is wrong with you? Can you just tell me what is going on?” Alex blurted, already running out of patience but James had maintained that Alex came.
So had angrily driven to the office and on getting there, Dave, Bob and the manager were at the entrance, waiting for him.
