Chapter 51. Wife Turned Maid

Lisa sat on a low stool in a corner in the kitchen as the maids move around busily in the kitchen, preparing dinner. She had not had anything to eat since morning and she came to the kitchen, hoping to find something to eat.

No one acknowledged her when she walked in but she had gotten used to that already. She was glad Hilda was not there. But just when she thought of that, Hilda walked in. Talk of the she-devil…

Hilda walked round the kitchen, scrolling through her phone. She did not notice Lisa at first and when she did, walked briskly to her.

“What are you doing in my kitchen?” She asked and folded her hands round her chest. Lisa stared blankly at her.

“You have suddenly gone dumb, I see,” Hilda said mockingly. “Now if a miracle does not happen so you reply me, I will have you thrown out of this kitchen and you will never be allowed in here.”

“I am waiting for the maids to be done so I can cook something,” Lisa replied quietly and Hilda hummed satis
