Chapter 50. Engaged to a Stranger
Jane looked at the engagement ring on her finger and sucked in her lower lip. She was in a bathrobe and the bonnet she had neatly packed her hair into looked like a canopy. She looked back at her phone, dialing her manager’s number. She was not sure yet what she wanted to tell him, but she just needed to speak to him.
She had contemplated who to call but was left with no option than to settle for Mark. It has been long since the last time she spoke to Isabella and she had been avoiding having to speak to her again. The last conversation they had got her very upset.
No, she was not really mad at her best friend. If anything, she was mad at her own self for not listening to her. Everything Isabella said was the truth. She did not want to speak to her so she would not have to tell her she had gone ahead, and followed her heart desires instead of using her brain and logical thinking.
