Chapter 110. Old Acquaintances
It was a very big relief to her when Jane reluctantly lifted her head up with a forced smile across her face and saw a face she was familiar with but not really expecting to see or meet at that moment or even in town.
She released a breath she had not realized she was holding and placed her hand on her chest.
“Oh goodness, Racheal,” she greeted with a relived smile now. “It’s you.”
“I knew I was not mistake when I saw you,” Rachel smiled back at her.
“Why don’t you sit?” Jane offered, pointing to then sit in front of her across the table.
“Uhm…” she looked around hesitantly. “I did not really plan to stay long. I just wanted to say hi.”
“Oh come on,” Jane persuaded. “You would not have to stay so long. Just a drink or two would not be bad. We have not seen each other for a while now and there actually a lot to catch up on.”
