Chapter 111. Memories

Jane knew there was no use going back to what had happened between her and Fredrick but she awakened the incident and she could not escape thinking about it now.

“You know, I was as foolish as well, or even more,” She told Rachel whose turn it was to listen. “I should have known life does not even work like that at least.”

Jane chuckled lightly.

“Gosh, I was really foolish. How could I have believed I was just meeting such a man for the first time and he was going to get married to me that moment he set his eyes on me? Surely, things don’t happen that way.”

“They do in movies,” Rachel commented. “And besides, haven’t you heard them say love at first sight?”

The ladies went silent for a while, and Rachel had a very serious expression on her face, too serious to be genuine.
