Chapter 145. Forgotten Endeavors

Ryder looked around the old building and was glad he had not put it away. The arid smell reminded him it was a part of him that he could not put away.

After he ha reunited with his daughter, the place slowly began to die off and he was almost forgetting about it. But somehow, deep within his heart he had reserved this place for a time like this. It was like he had always known there would be.

It was true he had promised his daughter not to go back to his old life and he had done diligently well in keeping his promises until now that he could not hold back.

All the while he had known about Alexander’s hurdle with Maxwell but he did not really bother to get involved with it even though it indirectly affected Isabella because it was her husband. After all, Alexander was a man and should be able to handle his matters by himself.

But now, Maxwell had decided to go beyond his limits and now tried to harm Isabella directly. No, this one Ryder could not overlook.
