Chapter 58. Happy Birthday

Isabella did her best to ignore the end of the contract. She had hoped that if she disregarded it for long enough, then it was as good as gone.

Alexander was obviously aware of it too, but fortunately, he said nothing concerning that, simply acting normal like all was still rainbows and sunshine.

The surprise party was as good as planned and ready. The only missing detail was Isabella’s dress, which made her work overtime to ensure the dress was completed on time.

Along the line, she realized that the dress might just be her best design yet. Jane came to help as well, in the way which Jane knew best.

Blabbering all day about everything, yet nothing in particular. Isabella would’ve killed for a few minutes of silence, but her friend’s constant chattering kept her company.

“This dress will be absolutely stunning,” Jane complimented from her position on the bed.
