It is said that people walk in and out of our lives, and with every person who walks out, they leave footprints behind, good or bad.
But no one said these persons may return after years of imbedding a relatively bad footprint.
No one gave Alexander a heads-up.
And now, the person he least expected to see had walked back into his life with no explanation whatsoever.
“Alex,” Bethany’s voice pulled him from his thoughts.
Her voice was still the same as he had remembered it years ago; she still looked the same. Those doe eyes that looked up innocently at him and that siren voice of hers that seemed to lure him in. Nothing had changed even after more than seven years.
