Chapter 21. Confrontations
There was a tensed silence in the room as Mr. Sinclair stared defiantly at his son who had demanded an explanation for what was going on. The party was over, and all the invited guests had gone home but Alexander remained at the last hour to confront his father. Isabella, Ryder and Dave waited behind. Of course, they could not leave without him.
Maxwell and his mother were there too. They were all in the living room.
“So now you want an explanation for what I do with my life? I thought you did not care? Why, you have not even stepped your feet in this house for the past few years,” Sinclair told him and sipped from a glass of wine, unbothered.
“Well you have invited me here after all these years so I deserve an explanation,” Alex said and his father sighed.
“Well son, I have thought you were rude and arrogant but never knew you were dumb and daft as well. Because you were seated when I announced this very thing you have cornered me and demanding an answer to.
