Chapter 25. Big News

“You have seen the headlines I suppose,” Bob said through the phone.

“Which?” Alexander asked casually, rocking on his chair in the office and Bob almost rolled his eyes as if he was there. He remembered they were actually on a call and Alex could not see him, so he rolled it anyway. Alexander was acting as if he had no idea what he was talking about.

“I know you know exactly what I am asking Alex,” he told him. There was silence on the other end. “Are you still there?”

“Then why are you calling me? To ask if I have seen what you know I have seen already?”

Bob sighed.

“Have you seen the news about your dad merging his company with Maxwell’s?” he asked again. Somebody needs to sue this man for making his life unbearable. Somebody, but not him. If he had his way, he would have done that a long time ago. Unfortunately, there was no one bold enough to do that. So he had no option than to manage him that way.
