"What happened?" The doctor whacked the door open and checked Kathleen's heart rate. He then looked at Max. "What happened?"

"I don't know, I saw her eyes open, I tried talking to her but she wouldn't respond or blink, why is that?" He was trembling, and his hands were raveling his hair in confusion.

The look in the doctor's eyes made Max realize that Kathleen's health might have escalated.

"Has her condition worsened?" His voice was filled with utmost pain. The coldness in the room almost froze his heart, making a stream of tears roll down his eyes as he squeezed his lips in regret.
