As Max struggled against Lex's grip, his emotions threatened to overwhelm him. He yearned to confront the commissioner, to demand answers for Kathleen's death, but Lex's firm hold kept him rooted in place.
"Calm down, Max," Lex urged, his voice gentle yet firm. "He won't budge."
