Chapter 38. Stephanie Meets Ethan
Natasha’s POV
“Flap! flap!” the pages of my book sounded as I flipped through them nonchalantly, with my head resting in my palm which by the elbow, rested on the desk. My mind was still lost in thoughts, pondering if indeed the killer truly was Bane. “Could it really be him?” I muttered to myself, “after all, he did bite me when I first got here. Could it be some primordial instinct his body can’t suppress?” I thought aloud…
“Uhh…uhrrm!”
“Perhaps, it truly is. I’ve gotta find out,” I determined in my mind.
“Natasha!” I heard the teacher’s voice call, which snapped me back to reality.
“Yes, ma’am!” I responded briskly, now remembering that I was actually in a class.
“You seem to be lost in thoughts about ‘his body’,” the teacher said, laying emphasis with her fingers on ‘his body,’ which made the whole class roar in laughter.
“Sorry Mrs. Smith,” I apologized.
“Oh Tasha, were even listening to anything I was saying?” she asked.
