Victoria’s POV

The air was thick with tension, as if the universe itself had pressed pause, trapping the three of us in a standoff. Dominic strode toward us with purposeful strides, his presence dominating the space between the street lamp’s glow and Ethan’s car.

This wasn’t the calm and collected Dominic I was used to. This Dominic was brooding, dangerous, and completely unpredictable.

“What are you doing here, Blackwood?” Ethan’s voice broke the silence, sharp and accusatory. He squared his shoulders, attempting to match Dominic’s commanding energy. “This is her house. You don’t have any right to just show up uninvited.”
