Victoria’s POV

The tension was palpable, wrapping around the three of us like an unrelenting storm. Still unable to respond, I stood there breathing heavily. And that was when I heard it, Dominic’s voice low but decisive.

“Fuck this.” He said.

He closed the distance between us and scooped me into his arms as though I weighed nothing. He was done waiting around apparently. His warmth engulfed me at once and I was tempted to remain quiet.

“Dominic.” I gasped, instinctively clutching at his shirt as the world tilted around me.

His grip was firm, unyielding, and undeniably possessive. The scent of him—clean, sharp, and utterly intoxicating—invaded my senses. My initial fury burned brightly, but his overwhelming presence snuffed it out almost instantly.
