Chapter 29

Hadley tiptoed into Maurice's room and her movement at that time resembled the one of a thief that was on a mission to loot someone's house. Why was she being so careful?

Hadley looked around the gloomy room that her things were just moved into and she muttered some curse words.

"What is this shrine? How am I going to sleep here?" Hadley questioned no one as she looked around the dark ominous room and she felt chills run down her spine.

What was this feeling? Hadley thought but she stiffed when she felt a presence behind her.

What's going on? Is this place haunted? Does this man want to sacrifice me? Hadley turned around with her hands balled in a fist ready to attack any demon that appeared.

"Ahhh!!" Hadley shrieked in fright, jumping away as she stared at Maurice's body which was half naked dripping with water and she almost ran mad.
