After I shower and get dressed, Lucas and I head downstairs for breakfast. Alpha Marcel’s not in the living room yet, and Mark… well, goddess knows where he is. Probably off being mysterious and annoying, as usual.
We make our way to the dining room where the maid who called us is already setting the table like it’s some royal feast. Honestly, my whole body feels like I got run over by a fucking damn truck. I don’t even know why. On top of that, my head’s still buzzing from that creepy-ass dream with Lola. Like, what the hell even was that? I need to talk to her because there’s no way that was just some random dream. There’s got to be more to it.
“Hey… where’s Lola? I don’t see her,” I ask the maid while eyeing the food. Pancakes look good, but answers would be better.
“She’s not around right now,” the girl says, standing all stiff like she just remembered she left the stove on.
