Chapter 170

Kevin’s POV

I had had such an embarrassing time at Chase’s house.

Like it couldn’t get any worse.

I blamed myself for deciding to get on the plane with Emma. I really should’ve just stayed.

“Sorry I woke you up.” I apologized, as Emma stirred while I packed my stuff.

It was about 6:30 am, and I had just finished packing my stuff.

“I was just gonna pack my chargers and cables, I didn’t mean to wake you up.” I added.

Em looked flustered and confused. Her eyes were quite red.

“What’s going on, Kevin?” She asked, rubbing her eyes. “Are you just tidying stuff up or you’re packing?”

“Emma, I’ve gotta be in Massachusetts before noon.” I said, as I tied my shoes up. My shoes were all set, and really, I was ready to go.

I booked a last minute ticket for half the price right after Emma and I got done with our convo at midnight.

I waited up until that point to accept the ticket, hoping things would turn out different.
