Emma’s POV
“What’s up, Kev?” I asked him.
“What do you think?” He replied to me.
“You’re cold and distant. And your replies are kinda one off.” I explained.
“Really?” He asked, again, somewhat absent-mindedly. I saw he was running some codes on his laptop. “You know, I didn’t think you’d notice that.”
“Why would you ever say that Kev?” I asked, taking my hands off him.
I was beginning to get pissed, well, a little bit of guilt and annoyance.
“I just wanted to get done with that particular section.” He said, as he turned the swivel chair to face me.
“Alright. Everyone has their priorities.” I observed.
“You know, that stuff you’re trying to do, it can’t work with me and I see through you.” He smiled.
“Kevin, you’re taking stuff from zero to a hundred. What exactly is it?” I asked.
“Where have you been, Em?” He asked. “You know, when he left the table, I thought it was just a coincidence that you mentally logged
