Chapter 108. Fear Attack

"Why did you come back?" I speak softly, lying on my side, while he rests on his back.

"I could not leave you," he says, his voice shaking. I notice he stands up straight, breathing heavily.

I feel a fear attack coming on.

His reaction seems worse.

He appears on the verge of tearing his hair out as he pulls it tightly. I scratch my chest during my attacks, only to get air, but Lexcis is intentionally doing it.

He grabs the knife from my nightstand, but I snatch it away before he can do more than hold it. My hand hurts a little from this.

"Lexcis," I say, putting my hand on his face. It feels like he's not in control of his body.

Usually, I'd leave him alone during a fear attack since it can't be stopped, but it's distressing to see him still trying to harm himself.

"I need to do this," he keeps saying.

I keep pushing him away, and he keeps attempting
