Chantel takes Meridia's sword and carries out her earlier plan.
I wish I could say that Chantel's face displayed regret, mercy, or understanding, but it showed none of those emotions.
Nor did I have any such expressions on my face.
"I won't forgive you if you hurt someone I care about. You'll feel the anger," Chantel declares.
I rise and leave Meridia on the ground.
"You'll pay for this," she sobs. "My boys! How did you do that?"
"You ordered your men to torture me, thinking I was pregnant. Try not to look guilty. And don't be surprised if I end up worse than you."
"Actually," Chantel interjects, "I'd never hurt a pregnant woman. I believe in right and wrong."
"Fuck you!" I shake my head when Meridia attempts to get up.
"Mer, please sit down again. You have two minutes to say goodbye," I echo Chant
