Please do not tell me that he is attempting to flirt with me. Whatever he was attempting to accomplish sent chills down my spine, and not in a pleasant way.
"Do not call me that," I retort, my voice firm, as I shift uncomfortably in my seat.
I am disgusted. He continues his gloomy look on me, which makes me feel even more nauseated. My gaze moves throughout the restaurant; everything is beautiful, but it does not make me feel any safer. All of the guards are holding their guns and ready to shoot whenever the king commands.
Arthur rolls his eyes, "You seem to be in a nasty mood. What about some wine to fix that?" He calls for a server to come to us.
"Two glasses of—"
"Only water, please," I interject, maintaining eye contact with Arthur. "Thank you." I shut him off. I am not going to eat or drink anything, but I will not allow him to order me wine.
