Chantel looks at me, shocked, and says, "Did I hear that right?" She raises an eyebrow, waiting for confirmation.

Mera grimaces, "You two are back together, correct?" She closes her eyes for a moment, hoping she is correct. "Please do not say I misinterpreted this." Mera's expression is a mix of curiosity and concern.

"YOU DID. You do that a lot." I retort with a playful smirk, emphasizing the playful banter between us.

With that stated, Chantel pulls me toward the others. Her eyes meet mine, and she quickly releases my hand, striding towards her sister and greeting each person she passes. Even those she does not know, she gives a humble nod, making her way through the gathering with grace.
