Chapter 351. Sleepy Couple

He opens the door, taking his first step in with me in his arms. I smile at him, glancing past him, into the house. It's an open, wide area, a cozy couch, and fireplace to our direct left, and the kitchen to our right. There's a staircase right in front of us at the back, leading up to what I assume would be the bedrooms.

Lexcis starts to saunter in the direction of the stairs. "Aren't you going to show the house to me first?" he asks.

"I'm exhausted. I desperately need a few hours of sleep."

I nod, trying to move out of his arms, but he doesn't let me.

"I sleep better with you," he says.

I pretend to think about it for a few seconds before I agree. "A few more hours of sleep wouldn't hurt."
