"You're absolutely adorable," I tell her, watching as she takes another, thankfully larger bite.

"Whatever," she murmurs, leaning into my side and gradually lowering her head onto my shoulder as she chews. My heart can't help but melt at her cuteness.

"Another," I urge, and she sighs but takes another chunk, struggling a bit before finishing it. Finally, she slips her head down to my lap.

"Aren't you cold?" she asks, making me realize I'm still shirtless.

"No, I'm fine. I'll be better once you're okay."

"I'm okay," she snickers. "It'll be over once I take a shower. This used to happen a lot when I was younger."

"What?" I say, looking down at her.

"Yeah, I'd get sick. I Slept for an entire day and the next day I was better."

"Who'd take care of you?"
