Chapter 567. Guardian Comfort

My mind is spinning when I blurt out these words. It's a solid plan. It's a good plan.

Eli gives me the shadow of a smirk, "As you wish, your highness."

I'm shaking with anger but I still manage to give them a small approving nod.

We reach the death machine and I directly step into the backseat. The guards are about to leave to go to the other car but I hold Dane and Eli back, "I want you two with me. Milo and Pedro, can you two drive with Lexcis? I mean his highness, sorry."

They nod and do as I asked of them.

I watch out the window as I see Lexcis step out with Adelin behind him. He actually laughs when the guards tell him about our seating arrangement.

Guards are leading Adelin to a car, some are carrying some of her stuff with them. I have no idea how I feel about it but I'm glad she'll be safe now.

I hate to imagine the things she's been through in this place.
