Chapter 109. Summoner’s Debacle
Hunter’s POV
“Hunter, is that the best you can do?” Tamer shouted. “My elder siblings said you were like a god of battle, the way you fought back then. Show me! If you don’t, how do you expect anyone to trust their lives to you, huh?”
The way she viewed me as some hero irritated me; I wasn’t a hero, just a hunter with a goal. The power deep within me was growling. It was the same feeling I had when I fought the werewolf in Dolly’s farm.
I yelled, ripping out the arrow in my shoulder and throwing off the wolf from my other shoulder. The pain ceased, and the blood stopped dripping. I wasn’t healing, but my sense of pain disappeared completely. I always wondered what this state was for me; it wasn’t the first time, that was during the hunter’s exam.
