Kali and I had managed to drive away the fourth delta of the Krent pack, but elsewhere in the jungle, another life-threatening battle was taking place.

Trinity and Felix were being held by Queen Rene in her purple and white Lycan form while hundreds of tree root tendrils tried to stab them.

The queen was a lot faster in this form than usual; her enhanced acrobatics allowed her to easily evade all the attacks thrown at her.

Felix’s resistance to the elements was tested as his gag reflex went haywire. “Oh, goddess… Ugh!” He covered his mouth to avoid anything from spilling out.

Trinity wasn’t fond of letting her Queen do so much work, especially since she knew entering such a state taxed Rene more than anything else.
