Chapter 98. Heart of the Jungle

Charlotte’s POV

A few days have passed since we narrowly escaped death from the two Deltas of the Krent werewolf pack. They were the second and forth Deltas, respectively, and I would hate to think of how strong the third and main Delta would be. But something in my heart told me we would soon have to deal with them. I just hope it’s after we recover.

The fourth Delta controlled the ocean and the sea creatures in it, while the second Delta controlled nature and plants. That sort of elemental control was far beyond Kali, Trinity, and even Iris at this point. Those two nearly killed us, and we only survived by going beyond our limits, rendering both Kali and the Queen bedridden still.

I was recovering smoothly, but I could still feel the pain that Winona had inflicted on me. Somehow, I understood why she wanted me so badly.

I sat outside the medical treehouse where my friends were staying and looked at the leaves and vines in what was left of the jungle.
