Chapter 64. Flash of Pain
The next morning, my eyes were swollen due to the endless tears I shed last night. I got up from the bed and dragged my feet to the bathroom. A cold bath was what I needed.
Moments later, I was done washing up and dawned on a simple sleeveless top tucked in black jeans and headed downstairs. Skye was seated in the dining and the moment he saw me, he stood up and left without saying a word to me.
I dropped on the chair. I sighed as my stomach grumbled. I was tired and hungry. I picked up the sliced toast and took a bite. My thoughts were all juggled up. My mind was messed up too. I didn't know what to do. For the first time, I was really afraid. What if I made a mistake? What if the prophecy was gotten all wrong? I placed the toast back on the plate, trying not to cry. I felt helpless and confused beyond words.
