Claire’s POV

After what happened, Mom decided to have the burial of my father as soon as possible, so that Gina won’t have any reason to show herself to us.

Caleb was running errands for Dad’s burial.

We were all having dinner at a restaurant when Cole cleared his throat which makes all of us look at him. He was holding Marjorie’s hand, as he stood up.

“I just want to say something,” he smiled.

We were eagerly waiting for him to say what he wanted to say.

“Remember the night where Marjorie and I went to the hospital because she felt sick,” he said, “Actually she isn’t sick, she’s just pregnant,” Cole chuckled as she announced it to the whole family.

I almost jumped in joy hearing that from him. Finally I’ll be having a niece from my brother.

I quickly hugged Marjorie. The saying must be true that when God took something from you, he’ll bring another blessing and in our case, the baby in Marjorie’s womb is our blessing.
