Claire’s POV
“How was your stay with your friend?” Caleb asked. I smiled, thinking that we were finally close to talking about my day.
“I enjoyed it somehow,” I smiled at him.
“Sorry for interrupting your short vacation. You should still be enjoying it, but here you are stressing about life again. I’m really sorry, Claire, but I needed to call you because I knew Dad needed you at the moment,” he said apologetically.
“No need to say sorry, Caleb. I am more than willing to be at my father’s side rather than being with anyone,” I smiled at him. “Thank you for everything you do for the family, Caleb,” I said, feeling sentimental. “I know that we’re having a hard time right now, but we can do this together as a family,” I said, lifting his spirit.
“You know what I’m worried about?” he asked.
“What?”
“That our company will go bankrupt in Gina’s hands. She doesn’t know anything about handling a business, so that’s what I’m worried about,” he
