Claire’s POV

“Wait, what happened?” he sighed and I told him on the phone.

“That’s why Mom didn’t want me to drive for some time,” I said.

“I understand her. Don’t worry I can still drive you anytime. By the way, are you still okay if we visit the place I told you about?” he asked.

“I’m fine now, I think we can visit it today. The police already got my statement from what happened so It’ll be fine now,” I said and we ended the call.

“Are you really ready for marriage life?” Caleb asked me seriously as soon as I went back to him.

“I think so,” I said.

“I hope it’ll work out, Claire,” he smiled at me, “I hope you won’t give up on each other just because problems occur. This is marriage we were talking about not just silly relationships anymore,” he said and I felt bad.

“I know, Caleb. We’ll try to work it out, I promise,” I said, as I tried not to look into his eyes so he won’t know I’m lying about my real relationship with Luke.<
