Claire’s POV

I wasn’t on good terms with her, but because my brother loved her, I tried to be patient and careful with the way I spoke to her, especially when Cole was around.

“Good morning, Claire,” Marjorie smiled at me, and I gave her a fake smile.

She was working in the company as well, and of course, Cole got her into where she was right now. I was so pissed when I heard the news that Cole proposed to this wench. I mean, what did Cole see in her? First of all, she wasn’t that pretty.

“What happened to you?” she asked as if she were concerned. The last time we saw each other, we had a fight, so I didn’t know where this kindness was coming from unless she was faking it. Well, I knew for sure she was faking her concern, and I knew she hated me the same way I hated her.

“None of your business,” I smiled, and she scoffed.

“Can we be on good terms, Claire? I’m going to be your brother’s wife soon,” she said, and I chuckled.

“
