Sienna’s POV

After the burial rites for the warriors, we sit in the small meeting room near the healer’s hall. Most pack members have gone back to their homes with a heavy heart while few of them are still receiving treatment at the healer’s hall.

The fire continues burning low at the center of the room. No one speaks at first.

Selene stands near the wall like she expects to be chased out at any moment. Her arms are folded tight around herself. She looks smaller than she did on the battlefield. Less like a weapon. More like a girl who is tired.

Kieran sits beside me. His hand rests on my knee, solid and warm. Rain and Valerie are across from us. Lucas leans against the door. Harper is there beside him but sitting and she looked pale. Damian was not available because he sustained worse injuries so he is still receiving treatment. However we hope he gets better very soon.

I looked around, this is the inner circle. The ones who know everything.
