Harper Walton’s POV
The morning sun hits differently when you wake up knowing you are maybe, possibly, going on a date.
I didn’t even say yes yet. Not officially. But Colton had asked again—this time not in front of people, not trying to be cool or cocky. He was just… himself. Soft-spoken. Eyes a little too earnest. And that was somehow more annoying than any arrogant smirk he’d ever worn.
“Come on, Harper,” he’d said that morning at school, leaning against my locker like this was a 2005 rom-com. “It’s just dinner. I’m not asking for a lifetime commitment.”
Part of me wanted to accept him but at the same time, I don’t like making mistakes else Damian will kill me.
