Lucas’s POV
The silence in the forest was thick. My hands tightened around the handlebars of the motorcycle as Harper clung to me from behind. Her grip was trembling, not from the wind, but from what she’d just been through. I could feel it.
She didn’t say a word. Neither did I.
I knew where to take her.
The old safe house sat deep in the woods, hidden behind thick pines and overgrown ivy. My father built it during the war between packs. Back when survival meant never being found.
