The walk to the mansion was very quiet, except for Valerie’s endless chatter. I don't know why she's being a talkative today. A part of me knows she's doing this to lighten up my mood but this is not working, it's only worsening my situation.
“We’re not allowed into the west wing,” she said, adjusting the scarf around her neck, her blonde hair perfectly styled giving her a badass look. “That’s where the private council chambers are. But you can go through the service wing if you need to get to the laundry faster. At least we can pass that corner to do a lot of mischievous things that you've always wanted to do.”
