Training Hall.

I stood in the center of the training hall, instructing a few younger warriors on shifting mid-strike. But my thoughts weren’t fully there. They were with her.

I glanced around hoping I'd see her with some maids or anything but nothing.

The last night that we spent together….. was something. For the first time in years, I'd felt a quiet peace, like maybe the world wasn’t just war and duty. Her laugh still echoed in my head. The way I felt comfortable with her. I don't think I was that comfortable with Eva that way.
