Chapter 68
Sienna's POV
10 Days Before the Execution.
The cell was dark, but it wasn’t the kind of darkness that scared me anymore. I have gotten used to this dark cell, used to the cold dampness of these stone walls and the echo of my own thoughts. But tonight, something was different.
It started with a very warm temperature, I felt heat around my chest but not enough to burn me. I sat up slowly, wrapping my arms around my knees as I blinked into the cell. There was no fire. Not even sunbeams cause it's dark. Then I noticed Just... a strange, golden glow that pulsed behind my ribs, steady and slow, like the heartbeat of something strong.
I placed my palm over my chest. It wasn't painful. It was comforting and I don't know why I felt so comfortable but I didn't utter a word
