Eva's POV
10 Days Before the Execution.
My hands trembled as I slammed the door to my room shut, the force of it shook the frame on the wall. I couldn’t breathe—not from exhaustion, but fury. Kieran’s words still rang in my ears like a noise I couldn’t silence. “It’s over.”
Over?
I kicked my dresser hard enough to send one of the drawers flying. The mirror cracked under the pressure of my palm as I shoved everything off the surface in a swift. My expensive perfume bottles shattered. I stared at my reflection, fractured and jagged, it stared back at me like it mocked me.
I screamed.
