Chapter 68. The Massacre

The screams and growls spread terror. It was then that Shawn’s siblings stood up to the Lycans. Kyler, enraged, immediately transformed into one of the Lycans, shocking Buffalo to the core.

Kyler lunged at the Lycans, who were too close to Willow, and slammed them into the trees. In his Lycan form, Kyler bit and clawed. But the number of Lycans was overwhelming. Nearly a dozen of them surrounded the humans, and only one Alpha existed.

“Uncle! Let’s go!” Shawn shouted.

The detective supported Buffalo, who couldn’t move quickly, while Shawn’s hand shook as he held the gun. Shawn couldn’t do anything as, one by one, his family fell to the ground, covered in blood.

“Mrs. Anberlin!” Shawn yelled again.

Willow stood frozen as she watched people being slaughtered and Kyler fighting the pack of Lycans. Once again, she witnessed an unequal battle, and the shadow of Mrs. Charlotte returned.
