Chapter 212. Prisoner of Belief

It was a nightmarish dream from which I couldn’t awaken; the terror intensified when I closed my eyes. No one in my life could have prepared me for the horrors of an interrogation session. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone; my tears had dried up as I crossed all boundaries.
I spoke, compelled by the situation, though it was a failure on my part. I didn’t possess all the information I needed, and I knew he would find out sooner or later.
I had known Larry since we were quite young. I remember thinking he was handsome back then; he always had a captivating charm. His eyes seemed to pierce through, almost as if he were still a child. However, he exhibited a restless attitude and was unfit for any profession or education. In the castle, no one liked him except Jacob, who was his only friend. Larry, in my eyes, was not a person of sound mind.
