My face was burning all over, as if I had been burned by some kind of acidic substance.

What I saw before my eyes during the attack was a picture of total death. However, I had no intention of telling anyone about it, not until I understood what was happening to me.

As I held the child in my arms, trying to save Dove, my body began to destabilize and darkness grew in the room.

“You should at least get some sleep.” Jacob said as he saw me get up to continue patrolling.

“I don’t want to; I have better things to do.” I replied, that was my truth, now I had to investigate what exactly was happening to me and I had a feeling.

“Where are you going?” he asked insistently. No one there stopped looking at me like I was possessed or something.

They took the baby back to a safe room, the two brothers were a priority, as was Dove. Jacob stood there, still in shock at what had happened. The men around me looked horrified from head to toe.
