“He’s running away!” Regle’s voice screamed as he dropped the tray of muffins and the roar reached my ears.
I cursed under my breath, he was looking everywhere and I was running out of time. It was harder than I had imagined in my head. I told myself again to run with all my strength as I landed on the ground. It was quite high and I jumped without thinking, because otherwise I would never know if I would make it.
The blow to my head caused a sharp pain, and I was lucky not to faint despite my weakness. What kept me alive now was the desire to return to my family. The news was terrible for all of them.
